Routes

Illa Mateua

It is characterized by a rich variety of plant species and a unique landscape of cliffs, ideal for climbing (psicobloc) and small coves. This cove is also perfect for scuba diving. Here you can find the famous sunken ship “Cotentin.”

Cala Montgo

Cala Montgó is sheltered from the tramontana wind. Given its rounded shape, one hypothesis suggests that the area may have been an ancient sinkhole that later expanded due to the sea’s erosion. Several tourist establishments are located near the promenade, along with beach services including accessible restrooms.

Cala Ferriola

It has a rich underwater ecosystem, which snorkel lovers will surely appreciate, as it’s similar to the one found in the Illes Medes. A visit to La Foradada is recommended — the natural tunnel that cuts across Cap Castell from side to side.

La Foradada

La Foradada is a natural tunnel that goes through the mountain, allowing boats to pass. It’s the largest in Catalonia, with Cap de Creus visible at the far end. The view is spectacular.

Cala Pedrosa

It’s a sheltered cala for mooring boats. The cala is located in an idyllic setting, surrounded by cliffs and lush pine vegetation. The turquoise, crystal-clear water covers rocky seabeds ideal for diving.

Illes Medes

It has a rich seabed, benefited by its proximity to the mouth of the Ter River, attracting numerous researchers who study it every year. This makes the marine reserve one of the most important in the Mediterranean and the largest in Catalonia by area.
